The Sampan Boat - poem

Sitting inside the sampan boat
initial fear and worry made me choked;
then I was told to keep quiet and sit still
and trust in the boatman's skill.

Gladness and joy flooded my being
as I marvelled at what I was seeing;
the serene sea and flowing breeze
truly calm my soul and brought me peace.

And I remembered the bible story
of Jesus walking on the sea;
He told Peter, "come to me
by faith you can also walk on the sea."

Yes, when I can trust and obey
the Author and Finisher of our faith,
I can do the impossible thing
when I give God my whole being.

Raindrops - poem

reading my "mirror's" blog brings tear to my eyes today
for she is almost like me in so many ways...
but one thing I know, life will not be the same
if I leave everything to God and commit them in Jesus' name.



looking out of my window when it is raining
can be so refreshing and soothing...
gazing at the pool, then the rain drops
that drip pass me from the top
can bring joy to my troubled soul
from my head to toes

A New Beginning - poem

only the works that are in God's hands
will turn out "very good" in His plan
as we seek to love Him more each day
he will unfold His plan along the way

we need not worry about tomorrow
we just need to go to Him and be bold
we may not see what our future holds
but we believe in what we were told

this is the new beginning of our life
full of surprises and exciting sides
awaiting for us to explore and to find
so that "hello" will not end with "goodbye"

you do have enough - poem

To someone I know:

you do have enough
you have a roof under your head
you have food day after day
you have a God that's not dead

you always have enough
you have the peace beyond understanding
you have the joy that others are missing
you have a friend who is always caring

you will have enough
you will have a new place to stay
you will have a new job that pays

you will have someone to hold everyday

aren't these enough?

Rejoice in the Lord always…

Do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything,
by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.

And the peace of God,

which transcends all understanding,

will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers,
whatever is true,
whatever is noble,
whatever is right,
whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely,
whatever is admirable–
if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–
think about such things.

I can't see Him - poem

I can't see Him, yet in my spirit I can feel
His loving care,
His guidance,
His providence,
His strength in me renew.

I can't see Him, yet through His word I can know
His characters,
His likes,
His dislikes,
His will for me even though.

I can't see Him, yet through prayers I can tell Him
my joys,
my sorrows,
my wants,
my needs within.

I can't see Him, yet my faith in Him is strong;
though my feeling may waver,
though my love may falter,
though my thoughts may alter,
though my heart may grow cold or be wrong.

I can't see Him, yet our bond is stronger than any couple has;
He's always there in my darkest moment,
He's always there when no one cares,
He'll never forsake me in my despair,
He'll love me more than anyone can.

Thank God - poem

Thank God for the rainbows in the sky
That tells me His love will never die
Unlike the love of mankind
That fades soon before we even realize

Thank God for the thorns surrounding the rose
They are there to protect and help it grow
You can't reach the rose if you can't bear the pain
In exchange for something beautiful you wish to gain

Thank God for His tender loving care
For constantly answering my prayers
For cheering me up once again
His love makes me forget all my pains

Trusting others is an art.

I hope you will never loose heart.

Sometimes we think we are very smart.

We do what we want even before God start.

Sometimes we tell ourselves we should never trust,

Because we have been betrayed, to trust is hard.

But never ever let bitterness stays in your heart.

Trust in the Lord and He will do His part.
