Mothers

Two days ago (Friday), there was a bad news that the Taiwanese fighter jet crashes; 2 pilots, 2 Singapore soldiers , and six other Singaporean soldiers were injured, with two in critical condition. Thank God that many of the Singaporean soldiers were not in the military base at the time of crash, otherwise, there will be even more casualties.

This news moved me deeply as someone I know well was also there for the training. Suddenly, I could feel the anxieties of the family members, especially the mothers, when they were waiting for the news to know who were the casualties, and wondered if their sons were one of them. Imagine the relief the mothers felt when they knew that their sons were safe. On the other hand, the anguish of the mothers of the dead and injured personnel is indescribable.

Today is Mother's Day. I wish all who still have your own mothers around to have a wonderful celebration with them, thanking them for all the good things they have done for you, some of which may be done in silence.

To the mothers, I wish you a...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

25Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son," 27and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.

Surprised Birthday Gift

Not only did I received the above ecard very early this morning, but also a surprised birthday gift. The gift is what you are seeing now -- a brand new webdesign for my blog! That's the result of many hours of hard work put into it... the labour of love from my best friend. Now you know why he is called my "best friend"? No pain, no gain ya. Thank you very much, Tommy! I like it very much! :)

Three other friends have wished me "Happy Birthday" in the late morning too. Though there's no present or card, I appreciate them for remembering it at least. Thank you, friends!

"May all your dreams come true." So what are some of my dreams?

1. My best friend will find his ideal godly soulmate soon.
2. My online friends will know Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Friend.
3. My non-Christian teachers will become Christians as they work together with me.
4. The children in our centres will believe in Jesus at their tender age just like I did.

Christmas Is Christmas When...

All I want for Christmas is my two molar teeth... my two molar teeth... my two molar teeth!

Yes, I went to see the same dentist again this morning and he did another job for the tooth next to the one he did more than a week ago. I am not sure if it would have solved my problem, 'cos my mouth is still numb, so can't tell.

Well, for my dear readers and friends, I want to dedicate the following Christmas poem to you...

Christmas is Christmas
when love abounds.
Christmas is Christmas
when peace surrounds.

May your Christmas be
filled with joy and peace.
May your Christmas brings
hope that you can't see.

May your Christmas be different
from the one last year.
Christmas is Christmas
when Jesus is here.

A Song Within

The song below keeps ringing in my heart today... a very soothing and comforting song... it's now my prayer to the Lord. (Click here to download song)

MAKE MY HEART YOUR HOME

Come and make my heart Your home
Come and be everything I am and all I know
Search me through and through
‘Till my heart becomes a home for You

A home for You, Lord
A home for You, Lord
Let everything I do open up
A door for You to come through
And that my heart would be a place
Where You want to be…

You are my portion, filling up everything
You are the fortune, that’s causing my heart to sing
That it’s amazing…
That You could make Yourself at home with me

Christmas - poem

Christmas is as white as snow;
It is about Christ's love we all know.
Christmas is as pure as dove;
It is the time to truly love.

Do not keep it to yourself;
Please share it with someone else.
Then you'll find meaning as you give;
And you'll find joy in the life you live.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas & a Blessed New Year.
May God bless you and hold you near.
This poem I wrote for you to keep;
As my humble Christmas gift.

If you want - poem

If you want to see the rainbow,

You must bear the rain.

If you want to smell the roses,

You must not fear the pain.

If you want to be trusted,

You must do what you said.

If you want to be in love,

You must take time to cultivate.

If you want to see your dreams come true,

Do you know what you must do?
