My Prayer For My Friend - poem

dear Lord,

let him know he is dear,
let him feel you are near,
let him know you are there,
let him know you always care.

give him wisdom as he speaks,
give him words that's sweet with wit,
give him power in his argument,
give him peace at this moment.

this is my prayer for my friend,
who needs your grace now and then.
may you get the glory in the end,
for i pray these in Jesus' name. Amen.

How I wish I were never born - poem

So many unhappy things took place these few days
sweeping me from corner to corner feeling dazed
pent up emotion trapped within as I gaze
at the wall without a word to say

Why must they happen to me, I asked the Lord
why must I be the one to suffer this lot
why don't I disappeared into the thin air
and when others look for me I am no more there

How I wish I were never born
or my first cry were soon gone
or I were given to a good family
then I don't have to suffer this misery

So this is the cross I have to bear
a burden that no one could share
as no one could understand my tear
though some people say they do care

Then I remember God will provide
as He did it to the Israelites
at a time that to Him is right
when they let Him be their Guide

Lord, I need faith to trust and obey
and do what's right without delay
cleanse my lips so I'll know what to say
to bring blessing instead of dismay

A Surrendering Prayer - poem

Lord, You know I am weak
without You I will feel 'sick'
and become too quick
to feel and to speak
words that will sadden others indeed

Lord, You know I love him so much
yet he has just broken my heart
please mend it with Your healing touch
no matter how hard or how tough
let my love never depart

Lord, I give You my soul
my mind and spirit that's low
by the cares of this world
and the things I don't know
but only time will show

Lord, I surrender myself without disguise
as I am, feeling awful and wants to cry
I give you all that I have in my life
to mould and make it like a shining light
that will show the ways in the night

Lord, I surrender him to You
please set his heart as a seal
to love and to serve you
no matter how he feels
let his spirit be renewed

May God Be With Him - poem

Came home from my shopping
and waited for him to come in,
but he's no where to be found
and couldn't see him around.

Started to miss him yet angry;
soon begin to fear and worry;
then begin to pray for his safety
and commit him to my Father of mercy.

May God be with him
and keep him safe today;
may God protect him
and watch him in his way.

Dear Lord - poem

Dear Lord,

You know me more than I know myself;
What I cannot see you see them so well.
You know my future; you don't want me to go the wrong way;
So you allow things to happen to direct me to the right place.

I know it pains your heart to see me cry in agony;
Yet you promise to be with me in this life's journey.
You also promise to wipe away my tears,
And stay with me and remove all my fears.

Once again, I want to surrender myself to you;
Please change my heart again and turn it to you.
Cause my heart to go into deep, deep, sleep,
Wake it up again when it's time for us to meet.

Now I am very exhausted from too much crying,
But I still want to pray for someone dear.
May you bless him as he seeks your face.
May you guide his path and grant him grace.

I Need - poem

Lord,

I need Your grace and peace
To accept and receive
Where changes are not meant to be.
Let me not murmur but help me see
That You have something special just for me.

I need Your strength and courage
To change the things I can
And not be unduly afraid.
Yes, "If I perish, I perish"
All I need is just a prayer away.

I need Your wise precept
To know what I should accept
And what I should reject.
Let me persevere and not waver
Let me trust and disobey never.
